Dublin: The Miss & Mrs. Cross Continent Beauty Pageant With A Cause brought together beauty, culture and social responsibility as 24 contestants from seven countries participated in an event promoting drug awareness and community education.
Held at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin, the pageant attracted around 450 guests. Sponsored by Broccoli Care Ltd. and organised by Miss & Mrs. Cross Continent Events Ltd. in collaboration with The Truth About Drugs Ireland, the programme encouraged contestants to advocate for a drug-free society while showcasing their talents.
The event opened with guided tours of the Truth About Drugs exhibition, where visitors learned about commonly abused drugs and accessed free educational resources and online courses. Several contestants completed the programme’s full series of 14 online drug education modules before the competition.
The event also featured cultural performances by Scoil Rince Ní Aogáin, the Mudra School of Indian Classical Dance and traditional Indonesian dancers.
South Dublin Mayor Francis Timmons inaugurated the programme, highlighting the importance of cultural diversity and drug education. He praised the contestants for actively participating in the Truth About Drugs campaign, saying their commitment demonstrated how positive leadership can help build healthier communities.
The programme concluded with the crowning of the winners and a renewed call for communities to work together in preventing drug abuse through education, awareness and informed decision-making.
The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, supported by the Church of Scientology, which provides free drug education materials to schools, community groups and organisations worldwide.
