Dublin, Ireland 03-06-2025 – Migrant Nurses Ireland (MNI) has strongly intervened following a revealing report by GNN 24×7 that exposed the arrival of numerous nurses into Ireland using fake offer letters. The organization has condemned these fraudulent recruitment practices.

Recruitment Scam Exposed: Nurses Arriving in Ireland Without Employers’ Knowledge

Complaints from several nurses reveal that certain recruitment agencies operating from Ireland have been tampering with previously issued offer letters from nursing homes by inserting new names without the consent or knowledge of the original employers. These falsified documents have been used to bring nurses into Ireland illegally.

Additionally, fake NOC (No Objection Certificate) letters—bearing the names of legitimate employers—are being used to transfer recruited individuals to other, employers. These unlawful practices are financially exploitative, with job seekers reportedly being charged between ₹6 to ₹10 lakhs (INR) worth around ( €7000 to €11000) for employment opportunities that are often fabricated or misrepresented.

MNI has undertaken the initiative to formally report the aforementioned issues to the relevant Irish authorities.

Expanding Scope: Not Just Nurses but Agency Staff Also Victimized

Beyond nurses, several individuals have entered Ireland under the guise of being agency staff. Upon arrival, they are reassigned to other organisation with NOC letters. In many cases, agency licenses are misused to facilitate immigration for non-existent jobs.

Tragically, many victims only discover the fraud after arriving in Ireland. Left without employment or income, they are subjected to prolonged periods of financial and emotional distress.

Ongoing Investigation and Support for Victims

Migrant Nurses Ireland (MNI) is in direct communication with TDs (members of the Irish Parliament), relevant government departments, unions, and the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to ensure accountability and justice. Detailed documentation, including the names of nursing homes associated with the fraudulent letters, will be submitted to the authorities.

Victims are strongly encouraged to come forward and contact the appropriate bodies to assert their rights and prove their innocence. MNI assures full confidentiality and stands ready to support anyone affected by this issue.
