Through multicultural celebrations and a number of initiatives such as United for Human Rights, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, The Truth About Drugs and The Way to Happiness, the Church & Community Centre has promoted understanding, diversity, inclusion, drug awareness, personal responsibility, interfaith and intercultural dialogue as well as mental health-related human rights advocacy.

The commitment of the centre to the wider community extends from practical assistance and volunteering to its annual HELP Awards, recognising individuals and organisations making a real difference in people’s lives.
“Looking back at the HELP Awards photos has put a smile back on my face, and I want to keep going, keep pushing for that better life and never give up!” said Stephen Brennan, founder of Walk and Talk and a recipient of the HELP Award.
Irish culture and the performing arts have found a home at the Church & Community Centre, from local dance schools and musicians to major Irish dancing events by all major organisations—CLRG, An Chomhdháil, CRDM, CRN and WIDA—including world championships welcoming participants from Ireland and abroad.

From 2021 to 2025, the Church & Community Centre partnered with singers Stephen Leeson and Angel to produce The Irish Arts Show, launched during the pandemic to give more than 400 established and emerging artists a platform. The initiative also inspired charity concerts supporting children’s hospitals, cancer charities and homeless services.
“I feel more appreciation for the world around me and an ability to find the positive. I am not second-guessing myself. I don’t have those niggling self-doubts about my actions that I used to have,” said Regina Doyle, reflecting on her experience after completing one of the spiritual development programmes.
As it marks nine years, the Church of Scientology & Community Centre thanks the parishioners, volunteers, artists, community leaders and partner organisations whose time, talent and commitment have helped shape its work.
Their contribution reflects the words of Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard:
“I like to help others and count it as my greatest pleasure in life to see a person free himself of the shadows which darken his days.”
Entering its tenth year, the Church & Community Centre looks ahead to strengthening these relationships, supporting new initiatives and continuing to welcome people seeking spiritual growth, personal development and opportunities to contribute to their communities.
