DUBLIN, IRELAND — A mobile exhibition was launched in Dublin to raise awareness on the subject of problematic substance use. Titled “The Truth About Drugs”, the exhibit provides free materials and simple, factual information which aims to empower people of all ages with knowledge, so they can make informed decisions.

The launch of the exhibition for 2026 took place at the Connect multi-cultural festival – one of Fingal’s major community celebrations, held at Millennium Park in Blanchardstown. The festival brought together representatives of more than 30 cultures for a weekend of music, dance, food, art and family activities.
The Truth About Drugs mobile exhibition, is a part of an international drug education and prevention campaign supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the words of Scientology Founder, L. Ron Hubbard: “The single most destructive element present in our culture is drugs.”
The issue remains highly relevant in Ireland, where problematic substance misuse continues to affect communities nationwide. According to the Health Research Board (HRB), 354 drug poisoning deaths were recorded in Ireland in 2021, with opioids, cocaine and benzodiazepines among the substances most commonly involved. Furthermore, recent reports have shown a significant rise in cocaine-related harm over the past decade, while many fatalities involve multiple substances, including alcohol and prescription medications.
